Southdale Center — America's oldest indoor shopping mall, opened in Edina in 1956 — is in the middle of a $400 million renovation. New lighting, modern seating, updated landscaping, and a contemporary color scheme are already in place. Simon Property Group has 40-plus brands scheduled to open through year's end.

RH Rooftop Restaurant has been named among America's 50 most beautiful restaurants by People magazine. Signature dishes include shaved ribeye on charred garlic bread, lobster rolls, truffle fries, and charcuterie boards.
