After a pandemic hiatus, Style Edina returned for its fifth annual event on September 26, 2021 at the Westin Edina Galleria. General admission was $49; VIP seating reached $600. Stylist Jodi Mayers and KSTP anchor Megan Newquist co-hosted a fashion show featuring mimosas at 10 a.m. and brunch at 11 a.m., with proceeds benefiting Edina ABC and its educational opportunities for students of color.
The event is a natural anchor for a full day of shopping across Edina's three districts. The Westin Edina Galleria, Residence Inn, and Homewood Suites all offer convenient stays if you want to make a weekend of it.
50th & France
Billy Reid opened its first Minnesota location at 50th & France — Southern-inflected American menswear and womenswear that's become a neighborhood staple. Scout arrived with outdoor apparel and home goods built for people who actually use them. Dugo added a women's fashion option with a contemporary sensibility, and Flirt Boutique brought lingerie and loungewear to the district.
Returning favorites include Equation boutique and an expanded Bumbershute location. The Lynhall, the neighborhood's beloved market restaurant, rounds out a district where shopping and dining are genuinely inseparable. Haven Nail Studio and Spalon Montage — celebrating 30 years in 2021 — complete the day with salon and spa options.
Southdale Center
The country's first indoor shopping mall anchors Edina's retail scene with a 379,000-square-foot Macy's — larger than the Mall of America location. Fall 2021 additions include Drybar blowout salon, Life Time gym, and the Restoration Hardware Rooftop restaurant. People's Organic relocated from the Galleria to a new 7,300-square-foot space at Southdale.
Galleria Edina
Rejuvenation opened in the former Restoration Hardware space at the Galleria, bringing lighting, textiles, and furniture with a Pacific Northwest sensibility. CōV, the coastal restaurant with a coveted patio, and Lili Salon Spa complete a Galleria lineup that also includes Kate Spade, Tory Burch, Tiffany & Co., and Louis Vuitton.
Also at the Galleria on September 16, 2021: Runway For Hope, a fashion fundraiser benefiting the Hope Chest breast cancer foundation.
