Special events keep Edina’s calendar humming throughout the year, but local programming really picks up the pace every summer. Here is your hit list for 2025.
Dancing on the Plaza

Arthur Murray Dance leads free, hour-long swing and salsa lessons — a perfect date night dinner pairing in Edina’s popular 50th & France neighborhood. Also happening in the area on Saturday mornings throughout the summer: Family Storytelling & Songs from The Morningside Theatre Company and Heart of the Beast Puppet Theatre.
Grooves & Foods
June 3, 10, 17, 24
Kick summer into high gear with revved-up renditions of Billy Joel (June 3), Van Morrison (June 24), and a jukebox-worthy mix of classic (June 17) and yacht (June 10) rock. Bring your own blanket to Centennial Lakes Park early to secure your spot and grab a burger, Italian sausage or chicken sandwich straight off the onsite grill.
Centennial Lakes Farmers Market
June 5-Oct. 2
Stock up on locally grown fruits and vegetables, fresh-cut flowers, humanely raised meat, and small-batch specialties like honey, granola, vinegar, jams, nut butters, macarons, and spicy Bloody Mary mix.
Edina Art Fair
June 6-8
Summer’s unofficial start has attracted hundreds of thousands of art hounds to 50th & France since 1966. This year’s featured artists include wood furniture whisperer Tyrel Bleifus, otherworldly illustrator Rae Ritchie, sustainable planter designers Bluum and Burch, and the mood-altering candlemaker Pryor Lake.
Sunsets & Soundbaths

Wind your Wednesday down with soothing sound waves and the widescreen ambient music of The Yoga Rooms.
Rediscover Southdale Center
June 14
Be one of the first shoppers to see Southdale Center’s luxury wing, a major part of a $400 million dollar renovation that includes a Banana Republic reboot, a steady rollout of more than 50 retailers (David Yurman, Watches of Switzerland, Moncler, Gucci, Burberry — you name it), and such eagerly anticipated exclusives as CAMP, Tory Burch, and State & Liberty. Look out for special in-store events and experiences throughout the afternoon, as well as a live DJ and free refreshments.
Summer House
June 26-Aug. 8
The Westin Edina Galleria transforms its four-star hotel into a multi-faceted Summer House pop-up that feels like a lakeside getaway. Highlights outside of a luxe hotel package include a multi-course CHANDON Under the Stars dinner (July 16), a whiskey and cigars pairing co-presented by Crooked Water Spirits (July 2), and a Live! at Summer House concert series (June 26, July 18 and Aug. 8) that builds wine, beer and seasonal cocktails into its all-in ticket.
Lighthouse Night
Aug. 13
Centennial Lakes Park beams us all back to the early 1900s with performances from a barbershop quartet, sleight-of-hand magician and Wurlitzer-rocking organ grinder. Also setting the scene: fleets of Ford Model Ts and penny-farthings, a Torchlight Concert, and such budget-friendly offerings as 25-cent ice cream cones and 5-cent balloons.
Edina Fall Into the Arts Festival
Sept. 6-7
Edina’s other metro area mainstay brings another seemingly endless summer to a close with rows upon rows of well-curated artwork — more than 250 multi-medium exhibitors in total. Come for the covetable paintings, sculptures, jewelry and ceramics; stay for the solid food vendors and family-friendly activities that keep droves of culture vultures busy until the sun begins to set.
Edina Car Show
Sept. 14
Keep your eyes peeled for Cadillacs and rarely seen rides from the likes of Rolls Royce, Bentley, Porsche, Masersati, Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Bugatti. Summer’s last gasp also features a fashion show, live DJ, and a wealth of special promos and giveaways.
